And in all honesty, that’s how it will be for both Arsenal and Liverpool right up until the last game of the season, both sides will need to be perfect to hunt down Manchester City.
Fortunately, Klopp’s team did look close to their best in some respects yesterday.
The overall attacking performance could perhaps still be improved, but Liverpool looked hungry in their pressing once again.
Jurgen Klopp’s changes worked, and Harvey Elliott was leading the way in midfield demonstrating a ton of tenacity.
That being said, it was eventually Ryan Gravenberch who played the starring role.
The £35m-midfielder didn’t play a single minute in the four games prior, but proved crucial at Craven Cottage.

In all honesty, Gravenberch didn’t start the game particularly well, he was on the periphery of things.
But he stepped up in the second half, and scored at an incredibly important time.
That being said, Gravenberch did then take to Instagram after the game to celebrate with the Liverpool fans.
The Dutchman uploaded a collection of five photos alongside the caption: “Episode 33 of 38”, in reference to Liverpool’s league season.
And as you may expect, there was an outpouring of support for Gravenberch in the replies.
Trent Alexander-Arnold left his congratulations, simply writing the midfielders initials and leaving some emojis.
Whereas Ibrahima Konate went one step further commenting: “WOUWWWWWWW” with a love heart eyes emoji too.
Safe to say that Gravenberch’s Liverpool goal and performance went down very well yesterday – even if Gary Neville thought he might be subbed at half-time.
And on the back of Liverpool’s display yesterday, Micah Richards does actually think there’s reason to believe that there could still be a ‘twist’ in the title-race.
Of course, all Liverpool can do is win their remaining five games.
And an emphatic win against Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday would definitely build that belief.
