'They've noticed him': £34m Liverpool star's agent says he wants his client to play for Real Madrid

Liverpool fans have no love for Real Madrid.

The Reds have been hurt by the Galacticos in the Champions League in the past, and that has stung them over the years.

To make things worse, Real Madrid are set to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer this summer, and that has not gone down well at all in the red half of Merseyside.

Now, one of their own players’ agents has come out and expressed his desire to see his client play for the Galacticos.

Agent says he wants Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch to play for Real Madrid

Liverpool signed Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich in a £34.2 million deal in 2023 (Sky Sports).

The Dutchman didn’t have the greatest debut season under Jurgen Klopp, but he has been a revelation since Arne Slot took charge of the Reds.

Gravenberch has made that number six position his own at Anfield, and his performances have made the fans forget about Martin Zubimendi, who rejected Liverpool before the start of this season.

Slot surely sees Gravenberch as a big part of his future, but the Dutchman’s agent, Jose Fortes, has claimed that Real Madrid have ‘noticed’ him.

To add to that, Fortes has publicly said that he wants Gravenberch to play for the Galacticos.

He told Marca: “When Ryan was 16, Barca called us. They wanted to sign him, but his father and I prioritized his development. At Ajax, he has been able to have an evolution that he possibly would not have had at Barca.

“He has the level for Real Madrid. We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money. I know they’ve noticed him, but now it’s impossible.”

What Liverpool should do with Ryan Gravenberch ASAP

Liverpool know the consequences of not sorting out players’ futures very well.

Alexander-Arnold is about to leave now, and although Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are set to stay at Liverpool, the last few months have not been ideal.

Gravenberch’s future is not at risk now – he will still have three years left on his contract this summer.

However, after a season as good as this one, where he has been integral in Liverpool’s performances in the Premier League, Gravenberch should be rewarded.

We think Liverpool should offer fresh terms to Gravenberch to keep him happy at the club.
